Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken prior to and during mineral extraction. The available archaeological information on the surrounding landscape was limited due to quarrying activities, although rescue excavations had revealed evidence for settlements in the Romano-British period. A number of archaeological features of varying size were recorded but none contained any dating evidence. [Au(abr)]
