Abstract: |
Within the historic period the proposed development site appeared to have been used as fields. Being on the western side of the Underfleet stream, it remained just outside the area of reclaimed salt marsh. The evidence recovered from the assessment suggested that Seaton was a place of great archaeological interest. The possibility of finding Roman remains associated with small port facilities would need to be considered for any development along the Underfleet or on the Marshes.[Au(abr)] |
