Abstract: |
Desk-based study to assess the archaeological implications of proposed development on land to the south side of the Brayford Pool, identiied no known archaeological sites directly within the proposal area. However, based on the results of previous investigations elsewhere on the south side of Brayford Pool, it was suggested that the proposal area had lain within an extensive area of swampland which was first drained towards the end of the 17th century and thus had a high potential for the preservation of environmental data.
