Abstract:		 A watching brief was carried out on a small area during an extension for a floodlight bunker. A modern topsoil layer, post-medieval soil layer, modern cable trench and a post-medieval pit were recorded. A small quantity of human bone was recovered and thought to originate from nearby graves, perhaps associated with prisoners jailed in the keep in the 16th and 17th centuries. [Au(adp)]
