Abstract: |
<summary>Eight trenches were excavated during the evaluation. A small quantity of fire-cracked flint of possible prehistoric date was recovered from some of the trenches, but no significant features were noted other than a rectangular brick pier, originally thought to be of 20th century date, which may have been a support for one end of the cross tree of a post mill. A large piece of millstone was recovered from above an area of concrete hardstanding. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
