Abstract: |
The assessment identified that the site had been used from the early medieval period, as burials were discovered, through the medieval period, with the growth of Thirsk and the construction of a castle and into the post-medieval period with some of the present buildings which lay on the site. A Roman road and Bronze Age barrow were also noted as lying close to, but not inside, the development area. [AIP] |
