Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of two trial trenches (31m total length), was undertaken before the construction of a new retail car park. The evaluation revealed extensive 13th and 14th century medieval quarrying. In addition ditches, post holes and pits were uncovered in the western part of the development which also produced 13th and 14th century pottery. [Au(abr)] |
