Abstract: |
A test pitting programme was undertaken, consisting of three hand excavated test pits which were excavated to establish the presence or absence of any significant Mesolithic remains. Geoarchaeological and archaeological methods were used and the results indicated that although there was undoubtedly Mesolithic activity in the area, represented by worked flint, there was no evidence of any in situ 'buried' soil horizon.
