Abstract: |
A fieldwalking survey located five possible sites of archaeological interest. They included scatters of worked and burnt flint, and concentrations of Roman, medieval and post-medieval material. Another site also produced concentrations of Late Iron Age pottery, and worked and burnt flint. An additional 29 sites of possible archaeological, historical and/or architectural interest in the surrounding area were located by a desktop assessment. They included a small number of prehistoric ring ditches, a possible Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age settlement, and a large number of medieval and post-medieval buildings. [Au(abr)] |
