Abstract: |
A combined review of existing archaeological data together with field observations produced indications of prehistoric activity throughout the course of the new Kingston-St.-Mary to Thurloxton distribution main, but no conclusive evidence for the existence of an extensive series of possible prehistoric features upon the hillslope to the east of Kingston-St.-Mary. Information was gathered concerning a number of former field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval date, and the location of a World War 2 Hurricane fighter crash site was also established. [Au] |
