Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of geotechnical trial pits relating to the proposed construction of public conveniences, at a site which lay within an area of archaeological significance. Modern deposits and a layer of topsoil, observed in an earlier evaluation, were revealed above natural clay. Animal bone and post-medieval pottery were recovered from the modern debris. No archaeological features were observed. [Au(adp)] |
