Abstract: |
The assessment showed that the site lay in an area of some archaeological activity. Although evidence for active prehistoric settlement seemed slight, the site and the area surrounding it appeared to have been used as agricultural land on the borders of a major park throughout the medieval period, and remained undeveloped agricultural land until the construction of the houses after the second world War.
