Abstract: |
<summary>Excavation on a known site, located during previous evaluation prior to development, revealed evidence of significant mid Saxon settlement. A large ditch was interpreted as part of an enclosure identified from aerial photographs. Other ditches were revealed and finds included quernstones and knives. The absence of evidence for buildings may have been due to recent truncation of the site. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
