Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation, consisting of 4 machine excavated trial trenches produced no evidence for any surviving features of archaeological significance within the excavation area, except for the south-eastern corner of a large country house, know to have been constructed between AD 1821-1841. This was located in Trench 1, along with a pit of post-medieval date. The site contained a large number of modern service trenches, which have heavily truncated the site. It is recommended that no further mitigation is required for this site. [Au(abr)] |
