Abstract: |
One clear concentration of archaeological anomalies was detected to the west of Low Catton Road. These appeared to have represented an extension of the cropmark site recorded to the north, although the geophysical data indicated a greater southern extent. However these deposits had clearly been disturbed by presumed ridge and furrow cultivation and more recent ploughing. Two possible ring ditches were identified in the western most field. Elsewhere, pit and ditch type responses had been observed. Some of these featured may have been archaeological in origin but interpretation was tentative given the lack of associated resposes and coherent patterns in the data. [Au(adp)] |
