Abstract:
A low earthwork bank, possibly part of Stainsby Deserted Medieval Village was investigated ahead of the erection of a bungalow. No structural evidence was found in the bank, suggesting that it was no more than a field boundary; this was not considered a surprise in view of its position outside the area of larger earthworks at the centre of the village site.
