Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological observation, investigation and recording (started in 2003 and the results were incorporated into this report) during groundwork for the construction of three dwellings. Monitoring of the foundation trenches revealed slight evidence for prehistoric activity in the area, a small assemblage of worked flint being recovered. The presence of burning/demolition layers in plot 3, indicated that a structure of possible medieval or post-medieval date may have occupied a portion of the site. [Au(adp)] |
