Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation of land at 58 High Street, Battersea discovered an absence of activity relating to the Saxon and medieval settlement of Battersea, excepting three stray sherds of medieval pottery recovered from later deposits. A post-medieval soakaway and garden soil deposit (which overlay the natural sand) were recorded as well as 19th/20th century building remains. [Au] |
