Abstract: |
The potential survival of archaeological remains in the southwestern part of the otherwise extensively basemented site resulted in an archaeological watching brief being conducted in that part of the site during redevelopment of the post-war building. The groundworks to be observed consisted of the excavation of three underpinning holes to be located on the southern, eastern and western sides of a single basemented area and the reduction of the genral level of that area. No archaeological features or deposits were noted during either underpinning or ground reduction. [Au(adp)] |
