Abstract: |
<summary>Sample trenches were dug and further excavations were carried out on a site prior to redevelopment. No clear evidence for the original medieval village of Westbourne Green was found, although the presence of a number of residual late medieval or early post-medieval pottery sherds may indicate the presence of medieval features in the immediate vicinity. Features excavated in one of the trenches almost certainly represented part of the later post-medieval village. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} GLSMR082451 |
