Abstract: |
Evaluation trenching on the site of a proposed housing development recovered an assemblage of 73 filints of Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date. Three areas of Iron Age settlement activity were identified including a number of large features containing Iron Age domestic artefacts. Modern features encountered included land drains, carcass pits and a pit for disposing field boulders. The original course of a stream which partly runs through the site was identified in two trenches and waterlogged fragments of worked wood recovered. [Au(abr)] |
