Abstract: |
Three pits were discovered during a watching brief over the excavation of footing trenches for a rear extension. Although no datable finds were recovered it was considered most likely that the pits were Middle-Saxon rubbish pits associated with the settlement of Hamwic. They were overlain by a buried soil horizon. [AIP] |
