Abstract: |
Archaeology below the surface within the proposed development area was considered to have a great deal of potential for further understanding of the chronology and form of Birmingham's growth. Several important archaeological sites were recognised, including a moated manor house, a smaller moat, associated watercourses and one of the earliest streets to be laid-out in the town. The assessment indicated that a number of specific zones within the proposed development area required a thorough and phased archaeological response. [Au(abr)] |
