Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was carried out at the site as part of Phase 1 assessment prior to the re-development of the site for a retail food store. It was concluded that recording should be carried out on the buildings on Union Street whilst an archaeological evaluation should be conducted to assess the survival of evidence for medieval and post-medieval industry in the area.
