Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Zone, near Merton Priory, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Mesolithic flints had been found in the area, and a late neolithic to iron age occupation site had been excavated nearby. During the evaluation a post-medieval linear feature, apparently a field boundary, was revealed. It was concluded that no further archaeological work would be necessary. [AIP] |
