Abstract: |
Five trial trenches amounting to 181.97 sq. metres were excavated to the north, north-east and south-west of the Listed Buildings at Wilstone Great Farm in order to fulfil a condition upon planning permission for the conversion of a barn and the construction of garages. The evaluation demonstrated that four of the five trenches had a low archaeological potential. The trench in the farm yard revealed the foundations of the earlier farm house which had been demolished in the early 1890's. [Au(adp)] |
