Abstract: |
This report summarised the results of a watching brief carried out during ground reduction works and the excavation of foundations. As the site lay within an area rich in Palaeolithic find spots the potential for the recovery of such material was high. Monitoring of the ground reduction showed that the gravels were heavily contaminated and disturbed by modern activities. No archaeological features or finds were observed during the course of this watching brief. [Au(abr)] |
