Abstract:
A watching brief was carried out on the north shore of the River Itchen. Historical sources indicated extensive activity associated with fisheries, and the site lay in an area of scattered multi-period finds and some multi-period sites. No evidence for human activity prior to the 19th century was found. [Au]
