Abstract: |
The assessment identified that there was a good potential for material to be found of prehistoric date from the Neolithic to the Iron Age on the site, and possibly of later Roman and Saxon material. In the medieval period and until the early 20th century, the area of the study site had been used as agricultural ground. The foundations, services and levelling operations for the various buildings on the site may have caused the truncation of some archaeological remains. There was also a group of small underground chambers and an underground petrol tank, or tanks. [Au(abr)] |
