Abstract: |
The rapid desk-based assessment into the archaeological and historic background of 10 sites across North Yorkshire, revealed that seven of the schemes (78-80 regent Street, Skipton; Carleton road, Skipton, Morrisons CSO, Skipton, Brook Street ,Skipton, Gargrave road, Skipton, Fell View, Embsay and Draughton STW) there were no recorded archaeological or historical sites within 250m of the proposed works. The remaining three schemes had archaeological remains present within 250m, (Skipton road, Embsay, Cavendish View, Embsay and Cononley Old STW) but had no identified potential for the survival of archaeological remains. No further investigation or monitoring was recommended. [Au(adp)] |
