Abstract: |
Two pits to set shoring timbers into were excavated as a part of remedial works following a partial collapse of a brick facing to the southern boundary wall. No certainly pre-modern deposits were exposed, though the earliest layer may have been a gravelled road surface associated with the Rochelle Lane. The overlying deposits were almost certainly deposited when the site was laid out as a public park in the 1960's. [Au] |
