Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of engineering test pits within Wandle Park, formerly the grounds of the 18th century Wandlebank House. 18th-19th century brick and tile were recovered, but no archaeological features were observed. It was concluded that layers pre-dating the 18th century may have been truncated by landscaping of the grounds. [AIP] |
