Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief during the excavation of a new pipeline trench for the installation of a new water-main to the village identified possible undated "metalled" surfaces on both the High Street and Horsewells Street. Drains post-dating the surfaces were observed, most notably, a large brick and limestone rainwater catchment drain which crossed the High Street at the west entrance to Horsewells Street and continued downhill along the west side of Horsewells Street. {italon}Au(abr){italoff} |
