The archaeological assessment located various parts of a medieval settlement, some aspects of which had been previously excavated. The recommendations of the contractor regarding archaeological impact was that depending upon the type of development, futher work should be undertaken on the site either in the form of fieldwalking, geophysical survey or trial trenching.
