Abstract:		 An archaeological assessment was carried out on an area of proposed opencast coal and fireclay site. No archaeological features were found within the study area but one field boundary would be destroyed. The report therefore examines land adjacent to the study area which includes several possible Iron Age/Roman homesteads, medieval features and a few listed buildings. [AIP]
