Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a test pit next to the water tank in the sunken court of the Courtauld Institute, Somerset House. The only significant archaeological feature was part of a rubbish pit containing two sherds of mid-Saxon Ipswitch Ware. The character of the Chambers water tank may have itself been of archaeological interest. [Au(adp)] |
