Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site, which was reputedly the site of the Castle Mills. A series of deposits were revealed, including a possible watercourse containing 17th century pottery, and a fragment of sandstone walling. 19th and 20th century structures on the site had caused much destruction, and no deposits pre-dating the 17th century were observed.
