Abstract: |
During the evaluation, an undated cremation burial was found, and Romano-British ditched features were recorded which almost certainly constituted a continuation of elements of a "brickfield system" excavated on an adjacent site. Some evidence of structures was noted. Dating evidence suggested that deposition had occurred primarily in the 2nd century and had ceased in the late 3rd century. Overall, the finds indicated a settlement site with domestic and/or industrial activity in the vicinity, although the location of this activity was not identified. [AIP] |
