Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in advance of restoration work at the Old Vicarage, Tadcaster. Wall foundations of the western wing of the building and cellarage to the west of the existing solar wing were recorded. Elsewhere within the grounds, demolished boundary walls and a stone and brick culvert were recorded. Wall foundations of the wing pre-dated a Victorian extension but no association with the original building was inferred. [Au(abr)] |
