Abstract: |
<summary>Geophysical survey and trial-trenching were undertaken to evaluate the archaeological constraints and implications of a proposed housing development on part of the Scheduled Ancient Monument of Fineshade Abbey (SAM Northamptonshire 124). The evaluation demonstrated that the area had been subjected to stone-quarrying and subsequent landscaping, and only the vestiges of three, probably post-medieval, garden walls were revealed. The resistivity survey also located the cellars of the former 18th century mansion. {italon}Sec(abr/adp)(10c){italoff} |
