Abstract: |
A number of test pits and trenches were excavated during an evaluation to determine the date, nature and state of preservation of any archaeological remains present. The site was identified as having a number of Mesolithic flint working areas within it and also cropmarks had been identified from aerial photographs. No conclusive evidence for flint working sites was found although a medieval site, probably representing the edge of an iron working site and settlement, was revealed. [Au(adp)] |
