Abstract: |
A geophysical survey, covering approximately 9.5ha, on eight different sites, was carried out along the projected route of the East Moor Pipeline. Sites 9B, 10 and 20 had no probable archaeological anomalies while on Sites 2, 9A and 24 only archaeological anomalies indicative of ridge and furrow ploughing were identified. However, on Sites 11 and 12 anomalies indicative of infilled archaeological ditches (on Site 12 these formed probable enclosures) as well as discrete anomalies possibly indicative of pits or other features likely to have been associated with occupation were identified.
