Abstract: |
An excavation was carried out after archaeological remains were observed during a watching brief at the site of a new access road and water main. Occupation of the site had been documented since the 13th century. During the excavation, two 17th century post hole structures with possible pits, floors and rubbish pits were recorded. An 18th century building, a probable boundary wall and drains were also found, and post-medieval pottery was recovered. [AIP] |
