Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken during excavations for underpinning within an annexe at the rear of the site. In 1922 significant remains of the medieval Carmelite Friary buildings had been discovered on an adjacent site. In the event, no archaeological remains were found during the excavations, which exposed sandy rubble above Sherwood Sandstone bedrock. [Au(abr)] |
