Abstract: |
<summary>Trial-trenching and a geophysical survey were carried out at Raunds Manor House to evaluate the archaeological implications of proposals to build dwellings in the paddock area at the rear of the frontage. Evidence of extensive settlement dating to the Saxon and Medieval periods was revealed. Features identified included post holes, gullies, ditches and large quarry pits, although no structural patterning could be discerned due to the small-scale nature of the investigation. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
