Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out within the grounds of the Havering Council Technical Offices. The site lay in an area where several Roman find-spots had been recorded during the 1960s. Four trenches were excavated, and four probable post-holes were discovered. These were interpreted as possible prehistoric settlement activity, although a Roman date was also suggested. Highly abraded pottery was recovered from ploughsoil deposits.[AIP] |
