Abstract: |
The nine trenches excavated revealed that terracing for the construction of the present day car park had significantly altered the ground surface. No archaeological features, apart from a poorly defined cut, were noted in the trenches, though made ground noted in peripheral areas may have covered possible remains of a medieval hospital, linked to the site by documentary resources.
