Abstract: |
Beneath the topsoil, a layer interpreted as made-ground was exposed, possibly associated with the late Victorian/early modern activities at the site. This sealed a series of alluvial deposits, formed by warping to improve the fertility of the land. Later post-medieval and early modern brick and tile was recovered from these layers. [Au(abr)] |
