Abstract: |
East Midlands Electricity had received Scheduled Monument Consent for the re-erection of a pole and excavation of a service trench across the Weston Hall Yard Moated Site. The SMC included a condition that an archaeological watching brief be carried out in order to record any remains that might be disturbed by the works. No archaeological features or finds of historic interest were identified. It was concluded that the area affected by the re-erection of the electricity pole and service trench was not occupied during the medieval or any other period. [Au(abr)] |
