Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken within an area of land that possibly lay within the medieval village. A previous gradiometer survey had proved inconclusive in being able to discern the presence of archaeological features due to the high magnetic background covering the site. During topsoil stripping a microlith of Mesolithic date and another flint flake of prehistoric date were revealed although due to the amount of modern disruption on the site these were deemed to be residual.
